Description
I will be teaching a glass painting workshop in Cley Village Hall, The Fairstead, Cley, NR25 7RJ. In association with North Norfolk Exhibition Project. The workshop was scheduled for Monday 8th August, it filled up, then I got covid and it has been rescheduled for Thursday 25th August. There is one space opened up, so book yourself a place quick!
Arrival time 10am, an hour break for lunch, finish 5pm. Bring a packed lunch or enjoy lunch in one of several pleasant local eateries. No experience is needed, children welcome. All materials provided.
Each participant will paint on glass using traditional kiln-fired paints in the Victorian layering method. They will paint three or four 20x15cm glass paintings of simple designs during the workshop. Each participant will have the option of, for an additional fee of £20, of having the one glass painting fired after the workshop, framed in a black wooden frame and posted or delivered to the participant. I show participants how to paint a simple design onto glass and I make the procedure fun and easy. I include drawing skills in the skills I teach in the workshop.
This year I taught this workshop to groups at Framin’Art in Downham Market, in Hunworth village hall and in my own home. Each time it was very enjoyable for the participants and easy for them to do.
I attach four glass paintings that were done by students during these recent classes. None of these participants had done any glass painting before.
