I designed a window for St Paul’s Church, Brixton. I call St Paul’s the Miracle Churxch. The church does a lot to help the needs of the local community and their funds were needed for excellent projects like Food Bank and other local support. So I asked God to provide me with the funds another way and took a leap of faith and made their window for them at cost. God miraculously provided me with funds to survive this big financial risk! I won a large commission at that time, Rollesby Church near Great Yarmouth which covered my loss. I love this window, it reflects the vibrancy and diversity of the congregation and local poeple. The congregation came to my studio and chose pieces of glass to paint prayers and personal designs on and then I fired their designs onto the glass and installed their pieces into the window. So the congregation have a connection with the window and feel it is fully theirs. The window gives the flat roofed 1930s building a sense of being a church. I used hand-blown English Antique streaky glass in places.
