Sonya Issitt, Dan’s mum, says: “Emma had a wonderful sensitivity and compassion for our grief that I had not expected. In death we lose so much, and yet I have learnt the power of an artist’s spiritual gift can help us remember and hold on to hope. We did not want a shrine to our son, but we wanted a “nod” to him for those who knew him. It is something to remind us not just of our son but of Christ and the hope of heaven. Thank you, Emma for guiding us on this journey with love and insight and leaving us such a symbol of hope. What a fitting tribute to our son and our Lord.”
