The Buxton coat of arms; An African, a red buck...a red hand in the corner of the shield shows Thomas Fowell Buxton was a baronet.

Ronald Buxton and his family commissioned me to design and make a window for their local church.  Among his many accomplishments Ron saved St Mary’s Carleton Forehoe from dereliction in the sixties, in much same way that his celebrated ancestor, Thomas Fowell Buxton, worked to abolished slavery in the nineteenth Century.  The Buxton coat of arms is on the left, St Cecilia in the middle because Ron loved music and the organ.  Ron lived to see his window installed and has since sadly passed away.
