I was commissioned by Andrea and Darren Gibbons to design and make this window in memory of Andrea’s father Tony Birch in 2017 for the church in which Tony went his whole live, Christ Church Gentleshaw in Staffordshire. Love Divine was Tony’s favouriate hymn. It has a verse about casting your crown before God, so I put a little crown below the inscription panel. I have incorporated design aspects from the other window in the side chapel so that this window looks as if it belongs. It was a wonderful privilege and they were a lovely family. The window expresses the family’s love for their father and it represents the congregation’s love for this godly man. It is about 2.5 m high.
